This week on Flash Fiction Friday, we've got a short story I wrote for a creative writing class a couple of years ago. "Fedora Boy" is a modern retelling of Robin Hood from Prince John's point-of-view, and I chose this subject because of my love for Disney's Robin Hood adaption from the 70s.
The piece I'll be sharing with you today is a short story I wrote for a Halloween writing contest at the University I attend, which earned first place and scored me a Barnes and Noble gift card (hallelujah! 😄 )!
This week's Flash Fiction piece is a modern retelling of the Japanese fairy tale, "The Boy Who Drew Cats". I found a writing prompt on Pinterest last year about retelling a fairy tale, and I wanted to center the story around a lesser-known (well, at least to me) fairy tale. 🙂
